Synopsis:

 

The Navy Cross is awarded to Hospitalman Second Class Terrence E. Kierznowski,  United States Navy, for extraordinary heroism in action on September 12, 1969, while serving as a corpsman with Company K, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, at Elliott Combat Base in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam.  He gallantry gave his life in service to his country.
