JOHN WILLIAM SPRINKLE

John William Sprinkle formerly of Santa Maria passed away in his home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on Friday July 25th, 2008. He was born in San Luis Obispo, California on March 11, 1947. Johnny attended St Mary's parochial school and attended Santa Maria High School prior to relocating to Lompoc where he graduated from Lompoc High School in 1965.

He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1966 and was a Vietnam Veteran. Johnny enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was owner of All American General Construction working with his son in Coeur d'Alene at the time of his death.

John is survived by his parents Arthur and Virginia Souza of Santa Maria, son Kenny Olvera, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, grandchildren Anthony and Aliyah Olvera of Arizona, Sister Donna Sprinkle of Gardner, Kansas, brother and sister-in-law Albert “Butch” and Jeannie Sprinkle of Temecula, CA and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Linda Souza in 2003.

    A funeral mass was celebrated Thursday August 7, 2008 at 3:00 pm at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with inurnment following in the Santa Maria Cemetery.
